Can't curl hair?

My hair is kinda straight with a little frizz. I can flat iron it easily but I find it impossible to curl it. Whenever I do, it falls out immediately. I've tried curling my hair with a flat iron but it comes out all poofy and weird. What can I do?

Get a wand! My hair used to never curl either and the curls would come out within 15 minutes but wand curls stay up to 3 days without hairspray. (:

@Anneliese, What wand would you suggest? :) I have wavy thick hair but normal curling irons just don't work.:(

For hair that doesn't hold curls... Curl on second day hair and put a little mousse in prior to curling then use hair spray afterwards... And curl small strands at a time.

Yea...get a setting spray...that goes on before you curl and its not as sticky as hairspray but it will definitely. help it last. And I agree with the wand, those curls definitely. last longer.
