I'd say get it, just make sure they pierce it with a metal staple bar not the plastic ones, they're a lot less prone to rejection :)

Aw that sucks! I have my neck done too but I have the staple bar and I've never had any problems with it and it's been there for almost 5 years! Definitely recommend the staple bars :) haha
