Most of the time when you go black, you need to bleach it if you want lighter hair later on.

Do red now and then black! Reds very hard to get out and so is black, but if you dye it red first you could dye it black when you get sick of it. avoiding the bleaching process from gettin sick of black and wanting red. you could also do black with red peekaboos or red black bottom? it would look real cute.

I think red would look nice on you! But red is a hassle with the upkeep it fades so quick so if you don't want to touch it up so often I would go black.
