Translucent setting powder. Help!?!

Okay so right now I use makeup forever hd translucent powder to set in my liquid foundation. I never use a powder with color because it tends to look cakey and I like a more natural finish. I've also found that some setting translucent powders just go over makeup like mud. Any suggestions on new ones I should try??

Thanks I'll try that! And no I tried a loreal setting powder and just one touch to the face with it was bad. I don't even see how it's a "setting" powder. It was horrible.

Oh, I see. I prefer setting my makeup with loose powders as opposed to pressed powders for that reason. I know my MAC studio fix can look a bit weird when I use to to set makeup rather than a blemish.

Oh it is a loose powder! Weird. I've never seen that. I really like the NYX one though, I've heard it's a "dupe" for the makeup forever. I couldn't give you an answer to that though because I've never tried it hahah!

The L'oreal powder above is foundation powder, that's why it's looking cakey.

It's translucent. It doesn't have a color. And when it's dumped out of the container, it looks like any other setting powder.

Okay, you most likely bought it in soft ivory, which is near snow white. Plus, foundation can be in loose powder form, just look at bare minerals. I don't wanna get in a fight but if you still don't believe me, google L'oreal mineral
foundation.

I ABSOLUTELY recommend the NARS light reflecting translucent setting powder in either the loose or pressed form. I like to apply the loose poder with my fan brush so that I'm not applying too much powder. I've noticed I look WAY less powdery & cakey now.
but yeah, it's an amazing powder. really smooths out the makeup & makes your skin look amazing c:

My favorite translucent powder is the Tarte smooth operator...you don't need a lot because a little goes a long way and it will last you MONTHS! My sample size lasted me a year and a half! It isn't cakey, it makes your skin feel so smooth. and it also blurs imperfections a little, I can wear it on its own on natural days. And on top of foundation it gives it like an airbrush look:)
