I always wear Chapstick underneath to prevent overdrying.

Yeah but it can dry out your lips, so be sure to apply lip balm before :)

A lot of people do, myself included! However it does tend to dry up after a while. To avoid this I apply lip balm underneath, and lip balm over it at as well.
