Massage olive oil or coconut oil in your hair. Then after an hour wash your hair until it is all out. I heard it works but have never tried it myself.

If you want long hair fast you could save up and get hair extensions, I suggest clip ins as they're the least damaging type.

Make sure you don't brush it out when it's wet and also use oil! Just don't use too much heat and make sure that when you do use heat to use heat protectant. Your hair probably looks or appears shorter than it was when you were little because you got taller, or you possibly could've used too much heat.

Hair growth is based on genetics, the health of you & your hair. so the only way to promote growth is to keep yourself & your hair in good health.
Do not just go taking pills (including biotin). You can end up with side effects serious enough to put you in the hospital. always ask your doctor first.
Some tips to promote growth:
get trims regularly (split ends will go higher up the longer you wait & then you'll have to cut off more hair)
drink a lot of water
use as little heat as possible
always use a heat protectant, I recommend It's a 10
don't brush your hair while it's wet
do hot oil treatments (I use coconut oil)
use a deep conditioner (I use Aussie 3 minute miracle)
use hair masks (store bought or diy)
try a leave in conditioner
keep in mind that there are no miracle products or methods. good luck in growing your hair! :)

Good hair masks (coconut oil is my best friend )
put down the heat tools (aka straighteners, curling irons...)
if your hair is super damaged, you may probably need to cut it short so that the new hair is able to grow again :)
clip-in extensions shouldn't damage your own hair, unless you're sleeping with them etc.
it also might be that if you have done some extremely damaging to your hair in the past (color removal, straightening every day...), they may not grow that much now.
