I'm going to go with the in between stance as well but just one question does anyone know who that girl is? Cos damn her makeup is on point I really wana know what she's using

One answer I believe is the right one and fits possibly every question in this world: MODERATION is the KEY. I live by this every day of my life an concerning everything. Food, exercise, studies, fun, COSMETICS. It's the best advice anyone can give.

It annoys me so much that people are judging her. She is posting a video to help people and what she gets in response is this. She is her own person we are all individuals and it is 100% her choice how much makeup she wears other people can choose how much makeup they wear but they shouldn't go round choosing for her, this is what she chooses to do and people should accept that.

If she wants to wear that amount of makeup, people should let her! I'm for all makeup, whether it's natural or go big or go home.
People can wear whatever amount of makeup they feel happy with, if they want to trowel it on then fine. If they want to wear just mascara then that's cool too.
But people who critic people for doing this sort of makeup, what's the point? People have a reason for wearing makeup, and 9/10 you don't know the reason.

Makeup is a form of art. Our faces are a canvas. And if artists can do whatever they want with their materials, then we can do whatever we like with ours.

My favorite quote I once saw;
"I hate it how guys think girls wear makeup to impress them. do you seriously think I just bought a 30$ blush to make your penis hard?"

Amen Harlyn! That's what I've been trying to say all along. In my pic followed the tutorial to prove it's not transforming anything. It's a simple look. Mine doesn't look dramatic because I don't have the same skin issues. It's so not fair that if someone who doesn't have skin issues does it then it's normal but if someone who does have skin issues then it's false advertising. Seriously?!

@Tia, I totally agree! I had my almost feminist rant earlier how men think they are the center of our lives and everything we do is not for them. Why is going outside advertising at all? For who is she advertising to? She's a married woman. She's not trying to trick any guy into thinking she's perfect. Or anyone for that matter because she had the guts to film a tutorial with her bare face! That's real to me

@Amen Andreina too! 👏👏👏 that's what I was saying. Half these girls judging her do the same thing in the morning.

@Nasima, makeupd0ll on YouTube.

@jessica, lmao 😂😂 amen to that too! That's so stupid to try to woo them with things they typically no nothing about. It took my male best friend literally 2 years to realize I wore winged eyeliner. He had NO idea. He was so shocked, like "OMG you got Cleopatra Eyes." When I've been wearing it everyday for 4 years now...🙈

Tbh when I read the title I thought this was going to be a debate about if we're selfish, vain creatures and if its cruel to subject animals to horrible things for our looks. I would never have guessed that it was 'morally wrong' to apply a certain amount of makeup! lol
I love how everyone loves the debates though! :)

I think that guys say that we're 'lying' to them with makeup because some girls wear it constantly until he's 'trapped' and then they stop wearing it. Which, personally, I would agree with the guys, that is wrong. To me that would be the same as going out with a guy, falling in love, becoming serious and then he rips his face off and its completely different and he doesn't put the face you knew back on again. You would feel lied to. Most girls don't do that thank god, but I think boys panic and get scared that thats what we're all going to do to them.

@Caitriona, haha! That's a whole nother can of worms. I wrote a whole college final paper on that lol. And we definitely need more discussions around here!

And to the thing about guys, that's only assuming that the makeup is for them. A lot of girls do it for themselves. Its not for their benefit or pleasure. Just because she puts on makeup, doesn't necessarily mean she wants to attract anybody. And guys need to get over themselves when it comes to a woman's appearance. They always try to make it about them.

And for the deception part, the average girl isn't some magical kardashian wizard lmao. Chances are, she isn't that good where she goes from Cousin It to Beyonce every morning. There's always some truth in the makeup application. And does that make her any different on a person when she takes off her face? Does his love for her lessen? Then that means he was disproportionally attached to the way she looked in the first place. Rather than holding on to other things about her that are unchanging. Even a naturally pretty face ages.

@Em, thank you 😘 And I agree.

Jul 24, 2014

Symone B.

Exactly. Which is the very reason why we don't wear it for them. They don't even notice!

Reminds me of this pic on tumblr I reblogged. Guys want their girl to be natural like Kim K. 🙈🙈

No,no, no you read my comment wrong. I did not say that girls wear makeup for men. I said SOME girls wear makeup to attract a guy and then as soon as they have him 'trapped' they stop wearing it, that is wrong.
And no it shouldn't lessen his love for you but I'm going back to my original arguement about the wonderbra and say that attraction is key in a relationship and if you're getting serious with someone and they aren't allowed to ever see your natural face then don't be surprised if they don't like what's underneath. That doesn't make them bad people, or evil that the attraction isn't there. Sometimes it just isn't. That is life.
But thats all between a guy and girl who are serious. It's nobody elses business what you do what your face.

^ Or any couple of any gender :)

Jul 24, 2014

Symone B.

I see your point. I still don't think their transformation would be that dramatic where it's like "OMG who are you?! Let's break up" Lmao if so, that girl needs a YouTube so I can learn a thing or two 😝

@Caitriona, so that's the UK version of Jersey Shore I'm guessing?

Jul 25, 2014

Caitriona H.

Pretty much yeah, same shenanigans :)

Jul 25, 2014

Symone B.

Haha! That's soooo funny! I remember watching Jersey Shore when I was a freshman. Except the Geordie shore has better makeup...I don't know why but "cake faces" have a special place in my heart.

Jul 25, 2014

Caitriona H.

When "cake face" is done right it can be gorgeous, when wrong a bit of a disaster. Their makeup is good on the promos, not so great on the show.

Good point!
