Hey guys I really need your help! I used the pink grapefruit face wash from Neitrogena the other day. And I already have dry skin. But it dried out my face so much it hurts, it's red, and almost impossible to put makeup on. Can someone please give me some suggestions to help it go away?

Moisturizer with a really sensitive moisturizer I'm not sure what works for your skin but make sure you know it works for you.

Drugstore skin care products aren't always good. Aloe vera moisturizer will do you good x

It sounds like more than dry skin at work here. Your flesh seems irritated and this may be either a chemical "burn" of sorts or an allergic reaction. I would begin by calming the skin, which means no make up and applying unflavored Greek yogurt or a green tea rinse. (Soak teabags and let cool). I'd follow up with protecting the tender flesh and promoting healing with Neosporin or Aloe. Aloe is highly effective and soothing. Avoid using warm water right now as that will just dry you out more. If you don't see progress soon, I'd see a dermatologist. Hope you feel better. You can also drink Green tea. It is naturally antiinflammatory.

I have this face wash too! I have really oily skin though, but still, is this face wash any good?
I agree your skin is probably irritated, good luck!

I agree with Rozberry J. Maybe it's an allergic reaction. I have that product, have dry skin and yet it helps me.
I'd recommend to try not putting any make-up on for a few days and use aloe vera moisturizer. Hope that helps.

When my skin got really blotchy with red dry patches unmoisterizable, I went to the dermatologist who prescribed me a really helpful steroid cream which you may need.
