I am in cosmetology school and I am not sure where to go or what to do to get myself started as a MUA. Any suggestions? What you did? I really appreciate all suggestions! Thank you!!

Practice on friends & post pictures of your work on your instagram, Facebook, etc. then friends can see your work & spread your name around. build a portfolio, too to show to potential clients. hope I helped!

The best way to start off is to build up your portfolio. Some salons/spas that do makeup will let you intern while you are in beauty school and that would be a good way to build clientele :) also, your face is your advertising billboard lol you want to make sure nothing is cakey and everything is well blended. That's how I got started, but then again I've never been to beauty school lol.

I would talk to Alma or Jackie. They are professional MUAs and could definitely give you loads of info on the proper way to get started. I would definitely ask a professional mua, because they have experience.
