So I've been told that wash your hair with warm water fades your hair color no matter what color it will run. Than I've heard that washing your hair with cold water can also strain out your hair I find that when I wash with warm it's a lot smoother and easier to brush but when I was it with cold it's very knotty even when using conditioner so I need answers guys!!

You're not supposed to wash it in really hot nor really cold water. in between is just fine. while hot water does make color run, ANY temperature also can if you keep for hair in it for a prolonged time. you should only wet (color treated hair) to wash and rinse, the rest of your shower put it up.
