Hi, ladies!
I'm new to this site and just had a question regarding my hair. A while back, I had some breakage at the ends of my hair. It was so bad that one side of my hair was shorter than the other side. I got it trimmed so that it was even again and I got treatment for it.
I'm thinking the breakage was due to all of my split ends. Well my hair is feeling rough like it's about to start breaking again. I really don't want to cut much off of my hair since it took me so long to grow it out but I still have lots of split ends! If I cut just a little off, would it still help? And any recommendations on shampoos or hair treatments that could help this issue?

You must always cut off all split ends, before they split even higher up the hair shaft thus leaving you to cut even more hair off. Regardless you'll have to cut them, though. there's no miracle treatment, anything that says so is bogus, once they're split that's it.
also, welcome to beautylish :)

I would ask a professional to cut all the split ends. If you have split ends your hair won't grow out anyways. I would recommend an anti-breakage shampoo and a really thick conditioner.

Okay, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and get it cut! Lol I'll go to a professional. Thank you so much!

I had this problem too and I let it get really I had to get three inches cut off my hair, but to help my hair be more hydrated and not split so soon, I stopped using heat as much as I could. Like on use heat for special occasions. Then I got the garnier frutices damage eraser shampoo and conditioner. (Orange bottle) and the hair mask from the same line (in a big orange tub) and the spilt end bandage also from the line and it helped my hair stay healthy longer. Didnt take away spilt ends you still have to get it trimmed but this helped me wait longer between trimes.

As the ladies have said, you'll have to get it cut. I'd recommend doing a coconut oil mask & mayo mask.
