I JUST got my tape in extensions installed and I'd like to hear about your experiences and tips. And if you have any questions for me!
I'll post a picture tomorrow when I have it done up.

In especially curious about how to care for them when you're sleeping.

Maybe ask Symone, she knows like everything about extensions

I just got tape ins 2 days ago and I've had one slide out and now I've had a proper feel of them, there's 2 or 3 that feel as if there's only hair in half of the tape and the corner just kind of gets caught between my fingers when I'm doing my hair. I explained that poorly but have you lost any/feel like any are loose?

Aimee, I just got mine in last night and they feel fine. I was able to brush and curl this morning without feeling like they were slipping.
Did you wait 48 hours before washing? Too much moisture too soon can break the bonding on the tape.

Ugh no I didn't! I washed them last night. The hairdresser didn't tell me that :/ I'm not going there again for upkeep that's for sure! I feel like he gave me no advice and just kinda whacked em in. Hope you have better luck with yours :)

They're supposed to go through a bunch of things with you.
Definitely letting them sit for 24-48 hours was 1 thing she stressed.
The tape needs time to bond.
If they're just totally slipping out he probably didn't do a very good job.

I just got back from the hairdressers, I went somewhere else. She said they were put in way too close to the scalp, and that's why it seemed like there was only hair in half the tape strip because it was pulling my hair right out due to all the tension!! I now have tiny little bald spots about the size of a pea. Can't see them but still! I paid those guys $600 for nothing. she took them all out and placed them lower. They immediately feel stronger, lighter and less fragile. I'm sure I'll sleep on them better too now. I am so furious with the other salon! I am thinking of leaving them a bad review on their Facebook page but can't quite muster up the courage lol. And yep, this hairdresser said 3 days before washing it so they last the full 6-8 weeks needed. Can't believe they didn't tell me any of this. At least I have somewhere good to go now for maintenance.

Awesome! I'm happy you went somewhere else.
I'd definitely leave a review! You'd probably help a lot of people not spend their money there. And perhaps the salon will see they need to provide proper training for their employees.
Yeah I was told as long as you can go without washing, try to.
That goes for all the time tho. And time it gets wet you're risking pulling them out or breaking the bond.
So invest in a good dry shampoo!! And sleep with your hair in a braid!
