I was fairly light skinned a few weeks ago. However, I was forced to go outside many, many times (???? and since it was SCORCHING, I was also forced to wear shorts. I couldn't find any hats AT ALL, very convenient by the way?_? so I got tanned really quickly. Any different ways to achieve lighter skin?

Be grateful you can tan. I have pale redish skin and I have never been able to tan at all , it really sucks also if you are tan you look slimmer and skinnier and when you are white you tend to look big no matter what. Just wait for it to fade and never complain that you can tan lol.

Agree with Lindsay^^ But if you prefer lighter skin, then just simply wait for the tan to wear off and your original color will be back

Just exfoliate often (not too often though) and wait. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin and a bit of the damaged (tanned) skin.
