Bio-oil for acne pigmentation/scars?

I have a lot of acne pigmentation and possibly some slight scarring around my t-zone. I've heard bio-oil is effective to lighten scarring. Does it work and what are your experiences? Thanks :)

It hasn't helped my curling iron scar on my temple and it sort of broke me out around there so patch test :)

I heard it takes a while I used it for 5 months so now I'm going to get something for it from my doctor.

I think it should work. Try and make sure you won't get allergic to it. And if you don't go ahead and test it out.

I wouldn't use it if you have oily skin, I tried this for the same reason and it broke me out straight away, and left me with more scars:( however it is very good for clearing up scars on your body, a scar on my leg is nearly gone and I've only been using it a matter of weeks, good luck<3.
