Dress me, style me, I'll be a doll right now and tell you that this is my first two-day orientation at a pretty serious and hardcore high school. Or so I think. It has to do with business and technology but that's not the case, case is that they have an orientation for two days on august 26-27. I need help deciding what to wear, make up and hair, for the make up I'd like so eyeing neutral but glowy and bright. Something to enhance my looks. It's okay if you recommend I find certain products to achieve that look. I don't want to go overboard but I want to look nice for my first ever orientation! :D thank you so much in advance! Really hope I get some replies!

Honestly wear something comfortable like jeans and a cute tee.
My high school (which is one of the best in the city and the students are pretty "hardcore" on their marks) I went in jeans and a tee and half the kids were in pjs. There were a few super dressed up kids (suit and tie or somewhat fancy dresses) and they stuck out so easily. Just dress how you normally dress. Orientation isn't about impressing people by dressing much more dressy than you normally do. It's just to get you prepared for the new high school environment. They'll probably show you around, show you your lockers, meet the staff etc. So just wear something comfortable that you like and wear comfortable shoes, there will likely be a ton of walking.

I would wear a patterned/detailed tank top, such as a lace one or a floral one. You could choose to put a cardigan over it if its cooler weather. Wear with highwaisted jeans if your shirt is cropped or just leggings/jeans if it isn't. Add some casual flats or sandals and you're set. In my opinion, this is still casual but looks really good. (:

What if I went in something similar like this? In flats, of course, or something that's just a bit leveled?

That would be cute. But honestly just wear something you'd wear any other day of the school year. If you wear dresses a lot then go for it. You don't want to act like someone you're not the first day. Just be yourself and wear something comfy that you love. :)

Thank you! I think so too. I'm not aiming to impress, just want to be a little more taken seriously. :)

I would wear a sun dress with sandals and bring a sweater or jean jacket just incase it gets cold you could even throw a jean vest over the dress to make it a bit more casual... Makeup try and use concealer on the inner triangle of your face to brighten you up...
Good luck :)

Whoa, I like the last one a lot, where do you think I can find that sort of dress? Does it come with the belt?

I honestly found it on google you could probably find one like that anywhere from forever 21 to love culture maybe even pacsun most of the time they don't come with the belt but the belt should be fairly easy to find at one of the stores you get the dress from

Freshman lol it's really not that serious...jeans and a tee is just fine. Nobody cares I promise.

Exactly ^ don't be too overdressed tbh I'd just show up in sweatpants and a tank top if I can. Orientation isn't that serious haha trust me it's optional for me to go.
