It could be like that because your hair is dry...mine gets like that sometimes.

I use mayonnaise, because nothing else works for me. apply where the scalp feels gross, let the mayo sit about 20 minutes then wash and condition as usual. it sounds odd, but seriously works miracles. a bonus is it leave your hair feeling silky.
