I want to get my hair chemically straightened because my hair is really curly and annoying haha. But is it really bad for my hair and is it expensive?:/

I've heard that its very damaging, but I may be wrong. I would actually recommend trying to make your natural hair work for you. You could do this by experimenting with curling products to smooth your curls and bring out more of your natural curl. In my opinion, the most important thing for keeping curls looking healthy and pretty, is moisturizing them. When my curly hair isn't moisturized, my curls are dull looking and frizzy, as well as EXTREMELY unmanageable. So, if you want to try working more with your natural hair, I can recommend some products. (: if you truly are sick of your curls, you could try straightening it at home with a good heat protectant and flat iron. Some tips for keeping your hair straight longer are using a light hairspray, and some products specifically marketed extend the amount of time your hair stays styled. (: sorry I couldn't help more with chemically straightening it! Hopefully someone more knowledgable on the subject sees your thread.

For me my hair used to be all over the place. it was frizzy and wavy and just horrible. but then I made a habit of straightening my hair after I had taken a shower (the night before)
and now it just stays straight.
