Look up hair masks like coconut oil, olive oil, and mayo (my top three favorite nourishing masks) and trim the damaged ends off.

Agreed with Olivia!
Also, get an deep moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If you have damaged hair, you should really avoid shampoos and conditioners that carry lots of fragrance, like herbal essences for example, the more fragrance, the dryer you're hair will be.
If you're hair is as damaged as you say, I recommend doing 3 hair masks a week.

Coconut oil works miracles. for a hot oil treatment, I leave it in my hair for a couple hours. you can leave it overnight if you want. I also use coconut oil in my hair after I shower, it really tames my frizz. make sure to get regular trims whenever you start noticing split ends. leave in conditioners & deep conditioners are good to use as well. do you use heat on your hair? if you do, try to cut back. always use a heat protectant, I recommend It's a 10.

Coconut oil is really good, mix a bit of olive oil and honey on it too. :)

Leave olive oil or coconut oil in as long as possible. I just recently went blonde so my hair is super damaged, but I've been doing coconut and olive oil masks every other night, then washing with a cleansing conditioner instead of shampoo. Another thing to try is not washing your hair everyday, and if you do try using a cleasing conditioner (pantene and herbal essences both have good ones, H.E's smells amazing), and then only used shampoo when you feel some build up.
