Ok ladies even though some of us don't like to admit it some of us have a little mustache and sadly I do lol. I am Hispanic and have tan skin so naturally I have mustache. Over the years I have just been shaving it and yes I know it's horrible to do that but now I have a dark area (like shadow") above my lip what products can I use or what can I do to lighten/get rid of it?

You can get it waxed or lighten it. Sally Hansen makes a product that lightens the hair there.

I say get it threaded. I have a friend who has a darker complexion and hair and she gets her upper lip threaded when she gets her eyebrows done.

You should of never shaved your upper lip area 😶 lmao the best thing is to wax or pluck honestly but don't shave!! Don't do it anymore, wax instead & use a lighting face cream to make that are a little lighter!

I'm just curious but why shouldn't you shave your upper lip?

Start waxing it. also, there are a lot of bleach kits out there as well. google some natural options like lemon juice or gram flour.

The hair Grows thicker & blacker & your upper lip area gets irritated & therefore giving you the dark shade lol.

There is actually no problem with shaving. The only thing that could arise is irritation but that can occur with anything. Most people say its thickrr and darker because they normally notice during puberty their hair is darkening and you are seeing a blunt end of the hair. Threading or waxing would probably last the longest though.

I just pluck mine at home but I'm half Asian so I don't have much facial hair to begin with so tweezing works for me.

Oh and to combat the dark skin effect try a sugar scrub to exfoliate

I've never shaved my upper lip but I think it is almost the same as shaving your under arm. My under was getting dark from shaving so I started waxing and it lighten up a bit. So I recommend you do that. Oh and to treat the dark shadow treat it with a Vit. C serum. That will help lighten pigmentation.

Its bad to.shave your face as a woman because you will end up with that shadow look like the one men get and its not very pretty...wax will be your best friend lol...if you can't afford going to get it done all the time professionally they sell wax strips at any Walgreen or cvs from Sally Hansen. I use it in between visits and it works great.
