So, I've read multiple places that you should use an exfoliant after shaving anywhere, but specifically "down there." I know you can make your own sugar scrub specifically for that area but I have one from "Me! Bath" and it's scented. Is the fragrance aspect going to cause irritation? It has jojoba oil in it as well. It claims to be gentle enough to use every day. If I shouldn't use that, what is the best thing to use? Thanks in advance!

Well I use one tht is scented and don't get any irritation. I would say if your not easily irriated buy products thn go for it but if you have sensitive skin thn maybe not.

I use coconut oil as I shave and then a sugar scrub with coconut oil after because I find that if I use anything with fragrance I get shaving bumps

You should exfoliate before you shave, not after dermatologist advice. but I use coconut oil to shave as well and it almost has its own exfoliating texture (organic)

The same as exfoliating your legs. I just exfoliate were I'd be shaving. Just get some exfoliator and go in a circular motion I think tht it lol.

Not stupid at all. you could use a suger & honey mixture. anything with suger I feel works best for me bc it really helps with the ingrownd hairs and give you a closer shave.

Fragrances, douches and other scented soaps and things can lead to yeast infections and mess with your ph balance. Learned from experience and told from my doctor.

In addition to infections, repeated use of scented products has been shown to cause cervical cancer.
You're better off exfoliating with a mitten or washcloth, rather than using any kind of chemical exfoliant.

Alright thanks guys. I'll just steer clear of scented things since I do have fairly sensitive skin :)

I usually use a loofah daily and exfoliating gloves ideally twice per week...immediately after a wax down there you should only shower with tepid water and not exfoliate give it a couple of days...then daily scrub and moisturise.
