Awwwwh bless you I had the same issue but thankfully it's grown heaps. I've been using natural oils and leaving them in my hair overnight namely Mustard Oil and Coconut Oil. Also cutting down on heat styling helps too x

Hair growth is based on genetics, the health of you & your hair. so the only way to promote growth is to keep yourself & your hair in good health.

Do not just go taking pills (including biotin). You can end up with side effects serious enough to put you in the hospital. always ask your doctor first.

Some tips to promote growth:
get trims regularly (split ends will go higher up the longer you wait & then you'll have to cut off more hair)
drink a lot of water
use as little heat as possible
always use a heat protectant, I recommend It's a 10
don't brush your hair while it's wet
do hot oil treatments (I use coconut oil)
use a deep conditioner (I use Aussie 3 minute miracle)
use hair masks (I use loreal oleo therapy, but diy masks are good too)
If you want to diy a mask, some ingredients you can use are; aloe vera, honey, bananas, avocados, mayo, eggs, coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, almond oil, & avocado oil.
try a leave in conditioner (I use my shea moisture conditioner for dry damaged hair. It can be a conditioner, leave in conditioner, & mask)

keep in mind that there are no miracle products or methods. good luck in growing your hair! :)

When was your ladt haircut? it maybe breaking off before it gets a chance to grow. hair only grows (on average) 1/2 inch a month. more or less in some cases.

Hair growth is genetic. If you use different things in your hair it doesn't mean it will grow much faster. It might help slightly, but it won't change your hair genatically. I feel like I don't make any sense lol.

Your hair grows in increments, it takes breaks between growth and rests, it may not be growing now because it's "resting" and it'll probably start growing soon, sounds weird but hair goes through phases of growth and rest.

Hair does not grow in "increments" nor does it take breaks from growing. your hair is always growing. it never stops. like others said, it is based on genetics, diet and water intake.

Actually, I recently learned that your hair eventually DOES stop growing. I'd suggest those who think otherwise should look into it. Olivia is right.

Your hair eventually SEEMS to have stopped growing with OLD AGE. Everything in the body slows down, I doubt she's that old and alert enough to use beautylish. we also stop producing natural pigment in our hair with old age that's what gray hair is. hair with little to no pigment. the phases I'm reading about sound like a poor explanation of the three phases a single hair strand goes thru during its life. we get an entirely new head of hair on average every 5-7 years. a single hair strand goes thru 3 phases. know as A.C.T... A-Anagen C-catagen and T- telagen. my spelling may me off its been about ten years since I learned this in beauty school. Anagen (Growing Phase)

The growing phase lasts two to seven years and determines the length of our hair.
Catagen (Transition Phase)

This is the transitional stage that lasts about ten days. The hair follicle shrinks and detaches from the dermal papilla.
Telogen (Resting Phase)

This is the resting phase which lasts around three months. Around 10-15 percent of hairs are in this phase. Whilst the old hair is resting, a new hair begins the growth phase.

Shanae, I'm not sure where you learned that from but I'm pretty Damon sure that you learned wrong. What Tonia said is spot on. you will never notice any of these stages, and hair will still appear to grow. I still cut and color my 94 year old grandmother hair every 6 weeks...and her hair is still growing. The resting phase is unnoticeable. 10 to 15% of hair is a very small percentage and will not make a difference in growth. all my years doing hair I have never seen someone's hair just stop growing.
