A good eye primer should help, like Too Faced Eye Insurance :) in my opinion better than UD PRimer Potion or Benefit Stay Don't Tray.

If you don't want to support a company like Lime Crime, Fyrinnae makes a primer that behaves similarly (their formula actually came before Lime Crime even existed). It's called Pixie Epoxy.

I would look into a sealing/fixing spray rather than a setting spray. Kryolan, Mehron, and Ben Nye make good ones, though my favorite so far is PPI Blue Marble sealer (or Green Marble sealer; one is for sensitive skin and the other is regular). Layering a primer, sticky base (I use NYX jumbo pencils), eyeshadow, then fixing spray should make everything last.

To advert disaster, do a trial on yourself sometime before your event so that you can test products and make sure everything works for you.

I don't know where Doe Deere gets her recipes, and I'm not going to speculate on it. I was just trying to say that her primer isn't a revolutionary formula or anything.

I order Pixie Epoxy (and awesomely gorgeous pigments) directly from Fyrinnae. The only thing that might be a problem is that when demand is high the store closes temporarily so that they can catch up on orders.

I should mention that Fyrinnae doesn't market it specifically as a primer, and more of a glitter-glue type substance, but I've used it with regular shadows and it worked wonderfully.

I have normal/dry eyelids and I don't sweat very much, so mileage may vary based on user skin differences.

The fixing sprays (any brand) contain alcohol, which can irritate the eyes. When I use mine, I hold my breath and keep my eyes closed until it dries (less than 30 seconds usually). If you open your eyes too soon it will sting.

I have very oily, watery, allergy eyes. The only primer that has ever worked on my eyelids is urban decay primer potion then adding lime crimes eyeshadow helper! THE BEST COMBO and then I simply set it will a face powder! My sister on the other hand just wears the like crime and loves it! I've tried everything under the sun and this is the only combo that works for me! Hope this helps!

I have extremely dry skin and yes, it does exacerbate it if you use it too often. Just be sure to really moisturize after you wash your face when you take all your makeup off. Definitely not something for every day use.
