So I saw this homemade exfoliant thing on YouTube and this girl put toothpaste and salt together then she rubbed it on her face and I'm not sure if this is the most genius thing that happened or the most idiotic thing that happened please explain.

Sea salt is actually really nice as a body scrub but I would never mix it with toothpaste, I mix it with honey and olive oil.
still wouldn't use it on my face since salt is easy to over exfoliate with on tender skin.

Salt is beneficial to skin...but do your research on the types and it's uses. You'd do better to mix it with raw honey and do a test patch...than to ever put toothpaste on your face as it is can burn.
