Hey y'all! Some of you may know that I'm going to Haloween Horror Nights tonight, and, in honor of FINALLY being on vacation, I decided to take the time to do my makeup.

You may also have seen my review a day or so ago on the Vice 3 palette. I know I didn't post any looks with it (though I've done a bunch) and I decided to share today's with you.

I LOVE this palette. It's the only one I brought for the weekend, and it's fabulous. I'm much more of a fan of the crazy shades, so I didn't use any neutrals in this look. I used:
Vice 3, shades Sonic, Lucky and Vanity
UD 24/7 liner pencil in Zero
Diorshow Lash Primer
Per-fekt Lash Perfection Gel

Now, my questions are:

-how can I make it better?

-What other colors would go with this? Despite the addition of the purple, it seems a little monochromatic to me, I'd like to make it a bit more multi-tonal. Should I add more purple? I'm at a loss, not that I don't love this look, but I think it could be better and I'm not sure what else to do.

-with the reddish color, Sonic, what would YOU do? I'm curious to see what everyone else would do with such an unusual color :)

As always, feel free to let me know if you have questions, comments, suggestions or opinions, I love hearing from all of you!

Have a wonderful day :)

First of all, I love it and your lashes look amazing. Which color is the purple? I think a royal purple would look really cool to darken up the crease. Maybe add a bit more but other than that I'd leave this look alone.

I feel like on the closed lip pic there is a tiny line of purple in the outer corner it just looks a little random. other than that it honestly looks great on your skin tone and I'm happy you like that pallete. Are you in FL or Cali?

I would add more purple for sure. But I'm purple obsessive so of course my first thought is always "moaarrr purple!!" hahaha. The only other thing I could think to add would be maybe some of Bobby Dazzle to the inner corners. Or you could even put some of Alchemy under the eye too.

And you may already watch her, but the person I looove watching for UD tutorials is xSparkage. She always seems to be able to use A LOT of the colors in a palette without it looking too busy, just by adding little hints of a color in specific places. It's really neat to see and I always mean to take a note from her and try it myself and add more colors but I don't for some reason lol. It's such a simple thing too and I just never remember to try it.

I like it as is to be honest, but if would look awesome if you smoked out the purple more. Very nice. The lid color is stunning

Thanks y'all, the purple is in the outer corner, and it's blended in pretty well, It just doesn't look very purple which is sort of annoying.

Thanks, Lauren, I'm glad to hear my lashes look nice! They're so short so I always worry.

Sarah, the line is blended, it's just very reflective so it looks a bit harsh because you can't see the blending does that make sense? I'm in FL

Caitlin, purple is my favorite color too so I completely understand! Also, I love xSparkage, she has the greatest colors, she's one of the reasons I got the palette to begin with. She's so awesome!

Thanks Renay, I'll see what I can do with more purple when I get back to the hotel, since that seems to be the general consensus :)

Alrighty, here's my thoughts:
For me personally, I might blend it up a bit more toward the tail of your brow, giving the look a more "cat" shape, if that makes sense. I think I'd take the purple and use that to create the initial "cat" shape, fill in the outer edge, and blend sonic into that, then blend all edges. You can also add a "pop" of something unexpected in your inner corner, like silver.
As for what colors could go with it, something I love doing is a heavy, deep purple outer v, peach to blend, and then that color in the inner corner. You could pair it up with blue, orange and blue are complimenting colors, pair it with a silver, that would be beautiful.
And finally, I've already mentioned what I'd do :) love the look though, I hope I gave you a few new ideas! Your lashes are gorgeous aswell
