I honestly like it the way it is, I think red is played out. Why not try a caramel color, something a little warmer?

You're gorgeous and I think you'd look hawt with red hair! what I use when I dye my hair red (I've had dark red to bright firetruck red lol) is loreal hicolor permanent highlights in "red". Been using it forever. all you need is that and some developer. if you want dark red I'd suggest 20 vol.
what you to is mix 1:2 ratio of developer and the color. (1 part color - 2 parts developer)
you want to start from the ENDS to the roots. what I do, is apply to ends and let sit for 30 mins and then apply to roots and let sit for about 15 minutes (since the roots pick up color faster and they WILL turn out brighter if done first/all together).
my hair used to be in the middle of my bum when I had it red, so I would use 3 tubes, but depending on the length/thickness of your hair you can determine how much you need (its a 1.2 oz bottle).
you won't need bleaching with this product because it lifts the color of your hair. (trust me! I went from black to bright red)

So just watch your hair whilst dying and you'll be fine. 20 vol will give you a nice Burgundy like shade, also depending on how long you leave it will determine how vibrant it will be.
as for after care, I would suggest not washing your hair as much (red it the hardest color ever to maintain), and if you must (I washed it everyday lol) use cold water and use a color safe shampoo (I used riveting reds). you can use a vegan dye, like manic panic, to refresh the color. when doing your roots, use the loreal hilift BUT ONLY FOR THE ROOTS! Do nor apply it to the rest of the hair, that is what the vegan dye is for. also, red bleeds allloooottt. so be careful what towels/clothes you use while its still wet.
btw I got everything from Sally's beauty supply!

Red is a hell of a lot to maintain though, just a fair warning.
I agree with Lauren's suggestion as well a caramel color would look gorgeous and warm up your complexion

Red hair is a B to keep up with. My roots show up weekly, so I'm constantly touching up. However, I think I'd look gorgeous on you. If you want to do it yourself, I highly suggest garnier nutrisse. I also agree with the ladies above. I believe that you're one of those lucky gals who would look gorgeous with any color hair. Lucky!

I would only suggest the Guarnieri nutrisse if your hair is virgin hair. when I used that it only picked up color on my roots haha!

I had to dye my hair a few times due to complications that I was having during the process of dying, not having enough dye, etc. Roots pick up the color better because, like you said, virgin hair, but I think it'd be fine on non-virgin hair, as every dye would take better on virgin hair. Everyone has different experiences, although I do agree on it taking better with virgin hair, but it takes just as well with non-virgin in my perspective. There's also tons of other great dyes out there like renay mentioned above!
