What hair care product is the best to get thicker hair?

I want thicker hair because my hair is quite thin. I straighten my hair and I back combe it sometimes. I do use heat protection spray on my hair when applying heat to it. Does hair thickening shampoo and conditioner work? If so which ones are the best and is there anything else that will strengthen my hair?
