I have really oily skin and am worried about wasting my money on a shadow primer that doesn't last. I have tried the clinique shaded primer at the beauty counter, but it only stayed 2 hours. can anyone suggest a modestly priced lightweight primer that works for oily skin?

@Megan: I have combo skin (Oily/normal) an hooded lids that get slightly oily in the crease. I recently switched my eye primer from the Elf $1 primer (Former HG, I didn't hold up in the Cali heat anymore for some odd reason :( , to the Ruby Kisses 24hr magic eyeshadow primer which is supposed to be a UDPP dupe. You can find it online and at a Beauty supply. It runs 5 to 8 USD :) Good luck finding something that works!

I also believe that Milani has one for under $8 bucks. And I think WetnWild might have one for $3 (though I might be thinking about their face primer).

Ruby Kisses eye primer which like stated is about $8. And the Wet n Wild primer should run you no more than $5 depending on where you buy it & how much they sell it for.

I love my Smashbox shadow insurance. But I forgot it when I was away for a weekend and only had access to Target. I bought the ELF one dollar primer and I love it! I don't have oily lids so if I use too much, it's a little too dry. A little goes a long way. But it is perfect for oilier lids. And I don't do much drugstore makeup- but this product is the real deal. And you can't beat that price!
