I heard somewhere that using a chunk of pineapple in the shower like a loofah is beneficial to your skin but cannot find anything online to back this up. I imagine it helps as a surface exfoliator and possibly the acids in it work for exfoliation as well but since it's being rinsed off immediately, would skin really benefit from the acid or antioxidants?

Pineapple enzymes are proven to help exfoliate your skin, but I recommend trying to find a product that is pineapple-derived, instead of actually using a pineapple.

I wouldn't risk it on my face, that thing gives me enough trouble lol! I have several products that contain naturally occurring ahas but was kind of thinking what could I lose? I read somewhere to scrub coffee grounds on cellulite and thought it sounded ridiculous but it ends up my skin feels and looks awesome on the rare occasion I do it lmao! Thank you ladies!

I agree Traci. If my body can stand up to the rigorous buffing it gets from my tree hut scrub on a daily basis I think it can handle just about anything haha!

Angela have you even looked into Arbonne FC5 skin care? It's derived from fruit enzymes and when I used the complete set my body, face and hair looked AH-mazing! And it smells kind of good, like fresh not chemically. But now that I don't sell it I can't afford my arbonne addiction :( so only buy the few things I absolutely cannot live with out!! They have a website so maybe try checking them out..
