Question on hair dye and shampoo.

Hello! So I got my hair dyed burgundy red at a professional hair salon even though I was looking for something more purplish. I went out and purchased a hair dye in the colour 'Eggplant' by Palette. My question is: Should I mix the hair dye with shampoo to change the colour of my hair and give it a purple tint? Or should I just apply it directly? What if the single box isnt enough for my entire hair? Ill attach a pic below. Thanks everybody!!

It looks like one box won't be enough. your hair is pretty long right? But then again it could also depend on the thickness.

Hey, its actually shoulder length. What about if I mix it with shampoo? How long would I leave it on for and how strong would its effects be?
