Allergy from makeup sponges??

Is it possible that I am allergic to makeup sponges? These aren't beauty blenders. Just regular drug store sponges but I notice that every time I use then I get tiny little micro acne almost from every pore of my face. It's bad. I wondered if it was my Mac foundation which does tend to break me out, so I switched. But now I am sure it's the sponges. Is this really possible?? What could they have that would break someone out?

If you are allergic to latex or rubber the sponges could cause you to breakout or if your not throwing them out after every use because those are disposable sponges.

I'm betting Traci is right about it being an allergy. We use a lot of gloves where I work and we have to have 2 different kinds available because latex allergies are so common.

I throw them out after every use, Traci! I am paranoid about bacteria. Perhaps it is a latex allergy. I am not using them anymore, that's for sure. Thank you so much traci and Angela for your response. Also this might be TMI but wouldn't latex allergy mean that I would be allergic to condoms too?
