What color are you looking for? Matte, creamy or glossy? Blue toned reds, burgundies, pinks and berries would all be great on you. I would say that MAC lipsticks in general even the creamier formulas have reliably long staying power and are always well pigmented. Matte lipsticks usually last longer but can dry lips. You should definitely do a sugar scrub and moisturize first. Lining lips and applying your lipstick with a brush and doing layers, blotting with a tissue between layers can help your lipstick last longer.

I think I want creamy! I'm so scared of wearing red! I feel like it's too vibrant! I like pinks though but I want a wide range of colors rather than typical baby pinks. Thank you for the advice!

Every one should have at least one red lipstick for special occasions, I think. It's ok to have a little drama. Maybe the half-way there would be a nice berry pink with a bit of punch. My favorite berry lippy right now is nudestix sin, but it's a more matte product (I usually put a gloss over it). It's pretty long lasting, but needs a gloss.
Maybe a better option would be to check out Beautylish Lip Jam roundup:
