Oh my gosh I'm so glad you asked I've literally been in the same dilemma. I was looking at those but even though I'm very fair skinned Olympia just looks so light but then Paloma looks too dark 😑

Nov 10, 2014
Taylor G.

Taylor G.
Omg I'm sorry I don't know why they both posted twice that's annoying on your thread
Nov 10, 2014
Taylor G.
That makes sense. I think I will just get Paloma too since it's easily toned down. So glad you posted this thread!

Not to be disrespectful jaqlyn but you said in the begining there warm and yes they look warm just cuz a product says contouring does not mean its correct some comanies just put it to sell, you your self have mentioned to other girls to contour with a cooled toned product and your wanting to contour with something warm, have you ever contoured before? (This is just a question sorry if it sounds rude) what you want is a cool colored powder or cream at least and even better if it has a grey undertone if you already have good bone structure a plain cool pruduct would work and if you don't like me you want something with a grey undertone, save your money and don't spend it on that it won't do anything for you just make you look weired

They all look warm even inthe first pic you posted just look at the edge of the swatch, jaqueline recommended the kevyn aucoin sculpting powder to me and I'm in love I have never gotten anything else cuz this is all I will ever need I'm looking into others just for fun an to try them out but this is a miracle maker if it wasnt for jaqueline and this product I would have a fat face for special events lol, and I'm not bull about this product I actually have it and use it a lt of people here claim to have products they don't and thats bull cuz there just miss leading people and giving them wrong info cuz they don't know 💩 about it cuz they have never tried it or sean it, if you want a swatch I could give them to you either tonight or tomorrow I'm at the doctors right now and have to go to the store an when I get home I get busy with my kids but when they fall asleep I can if you want.

Nars so called contour powders are the most horrible example of contour, they are just a glorified bronzer to sell to the masses that don't know better,I've seen those suckers and was very disappointed.I do have the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder as well as the RCMA pallet's if you would like I can swatch them side by side for you so you could see the actual difference.Sandra quick question why do you stipple it on?

Hoola is a bronzer not great to use to contour in my opinion it also is a different color; but here's the thing think of it this way,So many are looking for the next best thing and some are looking for the closest to cheapest thing to at least try to pass as a great thing or try to like it so that it excuses any reason why A.they haven't really tried the product that is truly meant for something or B. They can't afford at the moment so in turn try to some how find a substitute and say it works the same (lie pass a product). But why try to say something is the same if the person had not ever tried a actual sculpting powder to even compare it? think about the makeup timeline when did actual sculpting powders come out for the masses? experience is key as well tricks of MUA and things they could only get their hands on before the public. You can't go wrong with Kevyn A sculpt powder is for all skin tones so their is no excuse about the application to the skin it actually has to do with the person applying it if your heavy handed well you need to work on that it's not the powders fault. If you can't get down a simple application of foundation or blush amping of the cheeks meaning making your cheekbones pop with just blush which also by the way helps structure, you really shouldn't jump in on trying to sculpt the face.I say if sculpting is something you want to try stick with Kevyn A sculpt but also keep in mind if that product is what you need right now or if your skill is even up to par for it.Sculpting shouldn't be this complicated or difficult for so many on here they need to stop thinking it will magically sculpt the face for them and think about how they apply products :)

Thanks ladies,it had to be said the truth of product and application,Contouring shouldn't be difficult. You're welcome Jacqlyn I say save up and splurge on it,you won't be disappointed or at least you shouldn't be just work on your form and application when trying to get the hang of it but it's very simple you'll see once you truly see the color and texture on the skin then you'll get what I mean.I did a brides makeup this past weekend and she was as pale as you and Sandra and KA worked beautifully on her skin you couldn't see a trace of it but noticed the structure of features.I wouldn't use the S-1 that still has a light orange tone if you compare the two and look at my skin on the picture compared to Sandra tone do you see the color sift.

Ya it makes a huge difference when applying to contour.I promise you once you get your hands on a true sculpting powder you will most definitely understand and see what I mean. :)

Nars Ita brush is like those plastic brush applicators that come in the kid makeup kits.Wires scrapping the face like if freddy Kruger was putting on your makeup. What ever sculpting you both choose to get cream or powder you'll just be glad it works.

Neither are cool toned unfortunately, Olympia is actually quite pink and Paloma is neutral to warm, out of the two Paloma works best for me and I'm very very fair.

Oh Alma!! So true! I think companies have gone to extremes pushing products that accompany advertising pictures with advanced makeup artist techniques--- and sell that ONE product ask what we need to get the result! I admit I was very confused when those sculpting came out, and wondered if I'd been pounding the wrong info into my head, for a moment!😂 Even at Halloween I jumped into a Maleficent cheekbone contour I thought I would be easy, and really had to slow down, concentrate, think and carefully baby-step forward. It's funny because I'm quite humble knowing I've lots to learn, (and eager and amazed to see what so many of you talented girls can do!😳😍) and yet I catch myself thinking, this should be easy, when common sense wakes me back up, haha!! Good points here all of you Beauties, even taking some advice and swatches with a grain of salt. I'm so gullible, I realize people dole out advice trying to be helpful but being incorrect- I never thought they would show you product swatches they didn't even own??😂😂😂 I'll never learn!😁 Oh well, just remember to always buy product from reputable places like Beautylish, Sephora etc. - and NEVER FROM EBAY!! I had a friend have a serious reaction from a fake foundation, they are made with unclean sewage water, child labor- you name it. Stay safe, and swatches will always be the same and companies won't get bad reviews from a product they didn't make.💪💗

Can't you just contour/sculpt with anything you have on hand that is the right color/texture? Yesterday I was playing with photoshop and I pieced together the tutorial cards from the Too Faced Natural Face palette and printed it out. I like having a couple of handy references with me in the bathroom and I'm not going to watch youtube videos in there while I'm putting my makeup on. This a.m. I followed the basic day contour pattern using the closest colors in my make up stash to the card. Generally I tried to use cream, when they did and powder when they did. I used a couple of NYX jumbo eye bencils which are creamy and a nudestix pencil and a lipstick instead of cream blush. I blended it out with cream concealer mixed with moisturizer since I don't have any cream foundation. I set it with no color powder instead of a luminizer powder since I don't have any of those. You know I think it looked pretty good. So many cream based products feel a bit heavy on my face and there's no way I could do this look in summer with my skin, but I just figured if it looked bad I could wash it off. I have my eye on the RCMA contour palette, but until then, I think I can do my little hack and it works.
