That's the only thing I can think of that's causing my split ends. I use no heat I do regular hair mask I use the proper shampoo + conditioner so I believe the dry shampoo is the cause. Opinions?

I don't think it would. Especially since it's the roots you apply it too. Maybe while brushing it through? There's tons of little causes of split ends though, like if your hair is down and the strap of your bag or your jacket is on top of it, or brushing too hard, brushing when wet, being too rough while shampooing, too tight of hair ties or buns, playing with your hair like twisting etc.or colder weather usually brings on my split ends due to the dry air and coldness.

I agree with alyx if you are getting split ends it might just mean it's time to get a trim so the split ends don't get worse.
