I recently started to wax, and boy oh boy do I see a major difference.
Pros of waxing for me are it doesn't start to grow for about a week, although I can't say that for you because it depends on the hair. con is that after waxing, it gets really pink and irritated and that doesn't go away for about two days so it looks as bad as dark underarms for the first two days.
I feel like when my skin gets used to it over time it'll stop getting so irritated though.
Another method to permanently get rid of hair and dark underarms is to laser it off.
Depending on the course of your hair, it usually takes about 5-6 sessions. the thicker the easier to get rid of so I've heard. the cons are I heard it can cause skin cancer and its very pricey.

Btw, its usually about 20 bucks per session for lasering.

There are a variety home remedies for that on YouTube. You should check it out, I wouldn't go to any laser session... Seems dangerous.

I usually shave my underarms with a small, electric razor that has a flexible end. I have never gotten dark underarms using this method, though that could just be for me personally :) There's also different deodorants that lighten the underarm area as well

Make sure you wash your armpits well in the shower, to get the old deodorant off.

I have had dark underarms for a few years now. I tried changing razors, lightning creams, natural deodorants. Basically I tried everything (: and the only thing that has actually worked for me is using an epilator. It hurt the first time but after that the pain wasn't that bad and it's helped so much.
