I waited about 8 weeks to change mine. Even at 6 weeks, the skin is still a little unhealed and it may stick together in about 5 seconds. I got my second holes done in March. :)

Oh I got the same one. I waited at least seven months and then took it out but then it got infected and turned into a pussy thing and I just let it close up...:/

Wait at least 6 months, dealing with infection from changing jewellery to early isn't always the best thing lol. So wait as long as you can :)

You should wait until 6-7 months..or more if you can I have had 9 ear piercings and 3 of them closed because I took them off too early.

You don't need four month^ it's 6 weeks trust me I've pierced my ear 3 times and my cartilage

@ Mary, 5/6 weeks is when you can change the the bar to a smaller one because most piercings swell, that's not the healing time though.
