Very pretty!! Maybe just put some more shadow or blend out more into crease. But that is just a suggestion, you don't have to do it cuse it is already really good!!

You could add a transition shade on the crease to add more depth, and if you'd like you could fill in the brows a little.

It's more of a standard way to apply shadow. Light closer to the eye and slightly darker at the outer v. Nothing wrong with how it's applied, most looks are similar in technique but it is not a smokey eye.

I don't agree at all I think it looks lovely... I look at anything that creates the effect look of smoke on your eyes... A "smokey eye". Heavy or not heavy. This is very well done.

Technically a smokey eye is dark at the lashline and slowly gets lighter going upwards towards the browbone. a smokey eye also doesn't have winged liner. yours is more of a gradient eye and it looks lovely on you. great job!!

*That's just one TYPE of "smokey eye". There's the type that Shauna mentioned- that's the one most of us think of. Its supposed to look like smoke- the way its darker at the bottom, then blends out and fades away. You can add liquid liner, make a smokey cat eye with shadow, darken the outer v, etc.
*The kind you are doing is also a smokey eye- but a little softer and not as dark. How dark you wanna go is up to you, but its more of a technique. I love to do really soft smokey eyes, although matte, not shimmery, with navy, browns, greys and auburn shades. I find when they're soft and nicely blended I can kinda create the effect that my eyelid is bigger, or my eyes are bigger/rounder. I have a small lid space to work on and I've realized, soft definition around my eye rounds it out more.
*Its important to remember that really dark colors around the eye can make it smaller because there's less light there.
*I like it! Just have fun and experiment, girl!
