I use a small brush diped in remover to take off mistakes it work much better than a qtip.

Try petroleum jelly around the nails thats what I do specially when I paint my nails black :)

You could take a q tip and soak it in nail polish remover, then go around the edges of your nail and get the polish off.

I always put Elmer's glue around it for when it dries and I'm done I can just peel the edges off
