Well it could be the hot shower. My face gets a little red when I shower.

Maybe it's a breakout under your skin that showed up beacause of the steam...?

My advice is if you think it's a form of dermatitis ask a dermatologist seborrheic dermatitis usually consist of white flaky patches which I don't see and I'm a licensed Esthetician and I can't diagnosis this accurately from this pic so before you put a medicated cream on your face be sure that is what you have , dermatitis is persistent it doesn't just pop up after a shower you would have noticed it long before that

Mine didn't have white flakey patches until after a few days I finally noticed it.. I never went to the dr just looked around online, and skin zinc is just zinc pyrithione of.25%, you use stronger than that in dandruff shampoos and zinc is in most body soaps so it really won't hurt you at all. If it were something like a cortisone cream then I would agree with you because that can have horrible side effects and damage your skin but zinc won't harm you. I would deff say to go see a dr but not everyone can see a dermatologist. Just my two thoughts...

Amanda I'm not saying If she does or doesn't have it hun I'm saying the picture is unclear so giving a proper skin analysis is unlikely, and zinc dries out your oil and decreases your sebum production so while that works fine for some inflammatory skin irritations on some skin types this will just leave the area dry and raw so it's best to know for sure what the skin condition is before guessing and trying to treat it.
