Hello ladies. :)
I was just curious to see if any of you have purchased Sonia Kashuk's limited edition 15th anniversary brush set. If so, how did you like them? 15 brushes for $35.00 seems like a steal, regardless of the quality lol. I'm thinking about picking then up tomorrow, so any and all opinions would be appreciated.

I have one Sonia kashuk brush. It's the flat top brush it says tools #4. Just based off of that brush I can say I do not love it. It needs to be cleaned too often. It gets hard easily. Soaks up product. It was overall disappointing. However, I'm not 100% the set I'm just going off a brush.

I've had my set for about a month, and I love them! I had a few of them shed like crazy, but after a couple of washes it stopped. They're just great for picking up product and application. My favorites are the contouring brush, fluffy crease eyeshadow brush, paddle foundation brush, and the synthetic angled foundation brush. I find the blush brush is way to big for applying blush, just my preference, but I use it for powder foundation. They are goat bristles, unless stated, so I don't recommend treating them with olive oil. It'll ruin them. I'm on the hunt to find a backup set, and I have 25% off a SK item coupon, too! ;)

Meagan, I know which brush you're talking about. I didn't care for that brush either! It's in my brush graveyard Lol

Thanks for your feedback, Meagan! I haven't tried hardly anything from her, so I'n glad you shared your experience. Is that brush in this set? I wonder if they'll all be like that.
Jaime, I'm glad you like it! I've seen some pretty great reviews. Did you wash them before you used them? I wonder if that would make a difference with the shedding. And girlllll, do share how you got this coupon lol. Hook a fellow Beautylisher up. ;)

The ones that Meagan is talking about is the single brushes with black handles that range from $12-20 each. So this set is a deal! I always wash my brushes before using them. It'll help get rid of the dust, chemicals, and loose hairs. I'll get a stray hair here and there, but it doesn't bother me once in awhile. I do with my Wayne Goss brushes, too. I got the coupon with my receipt from buying a Sonia Kashuk makeup item at Target! It was a nice surprise! ;P

Ahhh, gotcha. I figured that this was a pretty good deal..so if there are a few hit or miss brushes or a little bit of shedding, I still think it'd be worth it. Not to mention the beautiful color! I'm all about that purple. Maybe I should buy a random item first, to see if there is a coupon and then buy the set haha. :p.

I really wanted them because they're purple, honestly. I didn't need all those brushes, but I'm set for a long time! lol I have a few black handled brushes that have lasted over a year, and still going strong! Brush Guards also make a difference to keep their shape. I found some at Walmart for a variety set for around $5. Yeah, buy an item, get coupon, then go back in for the brushes! x)

They're actually soft, but not so soft it can't hold anything like the mini Too Faced kabuki brush I have. It's useless. But I've seen you post some of your brush collection, Sarah! And I can see why you'd pass these up Lol ;P

Oh yeah, I do agree with you about the Wayne Goss brushes! I have three of them: #14, #10, and #05. I love them! I should probably change my statement to just that mini kabuki brush being useless. Sorry, Wayne Lol

I think they are good brushes. They aren't too soft or too hard. But after washing I found products soaked in more and it was hard to maneuver over my face. I agree with Jaime on the brand but I don't believe it's in the set lucky. It just wasn't a good first impression.
