You shouldn't wear liquid liner in your right line. But wear it when ever you want a slightly more natural look!

I wear brown liquid eyeliner everyday instead of black eyeliner just because I don't think it looks as harsh, so just like everything, cat eye, smokey eye, neutral eye

Ashley, I've tried it before and it gets all over the whites of my eyes. I'd much rather use waterproof pencil liner in my tightline. I guess everyone's different. I'd like to know Mara's reason not to, it may be different :)

Ah I see, that's what happens to me with pencil, I prefer liquid and gel. It's crazy how differently products work for people.
I also agree with everyone, you can do anything you want with it, some people just look better in brown, above is how I like to use it :)

I prefer brown in all my liners now that I'm in my 30s- way less harsh that's true. I just got a makeup forever brown liner for 100 points at sephora and I really dig it- in spite of the fact that I will have to sharpen it soon. I prefer automatics. Revlon and almay make really lovely bronze liquid liners if you're open to that? Nice daytime liquid liner look:)
