The girl in the pics, she parted her hair down in the middle and she was nervous about it being work appropriate but when I finished and I parted it how she normally does, you couldn't tell a difference. And with it being so hot here in the south, it was a big relief.

Selia, that's what I've heard too. I think it can't look really great on certain people and I love the idea of it, but with the possibility of it growing back thicker and the process of growing it out period, I just can't do it. too big of a risk for me, and it probably wouldn't even look good. I've got lots of respect for those that have the guts to do it though!

I like them, but they aren't for everyone! But if you can rock it then go for it I say. One time, I told this girl I knew that she would look awesome with a shaved head and a couple of other people around us agreed, and she came to school the next day with it shaved! Lol it looked great on her though.

I will say now, shaving does NOT make any hair whatsoever thicker. It's a myth. The 1st lady who I did had been shaving hers for years but her hair was so fine and thin. When you shave the hair it appears thicker and darker because you're cutting the tapered end and making it blunt. If you want thicker has it looking into getting a shampoo, conditioner and scalp spray from Nioxin.

I have mine done on one side. I did it 3 months or so ago. I'm going to get the other side done at some point. I love it, and it's easy to look "edgy" and sexy without trying since natural curls and waves look really good with it. So I don't have to do my hair every day. I have a tonnn of really thick hair and my head feels so much better now, it's slightly lighter in weight so it feels nicer. It's also easy to maintain at home. I bought a 45$ kit with an electric trimmer and I can do it myself.

The only thing I'm struggling with is updos are much harder now.

Idk but I mean have you seen a lot of the men around here who get those regular more than girl trims have thick shinny hair.. &I think of it like when sum ppl shave like leg hair it grows darker&thicker ,not sure but I'm still lookin into &into the nixion products (the price makes me look away tho)

It's the same with shaving leg hair, you're cutting it off blunt instead of that tapered end. Yes Nioxin is expensive but it does last a while and the kits are cheaper and after you get to a point where you like the thickness, you don't have to buy the scalp spray anymore. And salons always have deals going on. Last month we had the big bottles for 2 for $55.


This haircut isn't hard to maintain at all and you don't have to style it. I shaved both sides of her head, not just one. I styled it like that to give her a little something but she parts get hair down the middle and I kid you not when I pulled it down you could not see it and would have never guessed she had it cut like that and that was just plain and down.
