There isn't a pic, but I am pretty modest and against crop tops, however, with a sliver of stomach showing, I think they are cute. You can wear high waisted bottoms and pull a maxi skirt up until there isn't much showing. And I wouldn't call your mom "old fashioned" I would call that modest. People use to be very modest.

High wasted jeans or shorts or the maxi skirt would look cute :)
and not wanting someone to show there whole stomach is not old fashioned it's just modest and you can wear a cropped top without showing your whole stomach
