I've been using serums containing both for a weeks but I'm only seeing abit of plumpness, does it smooth out out the skin too?

Hyaluronic acid gives you hydrated plumper skin right away retinol however takes time the longer you use it the better you skin will look long term it's not a quick fix all skincare products take time to work your new skin cells take atleast a month to come to the surface ,

And what do you mean smooth your skin retinol is best for hyperpigmentation,fine lines and wrinkles it does give you a more resurfaced look but that will take six months to a year if you have textured skin try using Aha to exfoliate also but I would wait until your skin has adjusted to your new routine before adding anything else in.
