What age do you think is appropriate to begin to wear makeup? when did you start? my 10 year old family friend came up to me and said she wanted to start wearing makeup and I was like WHAT?! I started when I was 14, only with clear mascara and lip gloss tho.

I started at sixteen. Which is how old I am right now. Only since I need to cover some stuff up so I use bb cream and translucent powder. On the days I feel like going a bit extra I do mascara and eyeliner. I think you can start whenever. But I recommend only using face makeup when you need it.

I think freshman year of high school is the appropriate time to start wearing makeup, so around 14-15 years old :) I started earlier but I wish I didn't tbh because I think it caused some acne.

I think ten is fine to play around with makeup at home and stuff, I used to do it way earlier than that but as far as wearing makeup out at ten years that's a little young. If she really wants to though I think some lipgloss would be a good start :)

In my opinion I think for people ages 10 & 11 lip gloss is no big deal but anything farther than lip gloss and Chapstick is a little too over board. Honestly, that's what I think.

I started when I was 12, all I really did was curl my lashes and wear lip balm.

I started wearing makeup (eyeshadow and pencil liner) at 12 but stopped wearing makeup for some years (didn't even wear makeup to my prom and other formal events in HS). I didn't start really wearing makeup until 19 cus my face had broken out so bad with acne and I needed to cover it 😔

In all honestly, unless you're an adult I think it should be when your parents are comfortable with it

I started when I was in my late 12's (I had horrible skin then) and I only really had a barely tinted lipgloss (nude and stuff)
