You know we all do it once in awhile but does it really cause more acne? I know it spreads the bacteria but would you still break out if you popped them and then washed your face?

Not to mention the scarring. In no way is it worth it.

It scars!! Trust me, my forehead is covered in them. I can't help popping then though... :(

No, not only is there a huge chance of scars but when you pop a pimple you are breaking into the skin and the pimple formation under the skin causing the sebum bacteria and debris to ooze out into the skin. Anything that oozes out on the top can also sink into the pores. any bacteria on your fingers will cause it to be inflamed. it is not worth it let it runs it course and in the long run you will have fewer breakouts and no scars.

If I pop a pimple I get lots more around that area plus it scars and is really bad for your skin so it's really not worth it

It only does it scar, but it pushes and dirt or bacteria further into the skin and allows pimples to spread to other areas. I usually use the needle method which prevents this and scarring. All you have to do is sanitize a needle with rubbing alcohol and place the tip onto the white of the pimple and make a small hole for the white to come out. Then, slowly and carefully squeeze the pimple. Only do this when completely necessary!

Straight up, Isabelle. I always make sure to wash my face, sanitize my fingers and the needle I'm using before lancing my white heads, and squeeze the pus from them. After, I put a tiny smudge of polysporin over the affected area, and bam. I have the most easiest to scar skin, and this works for me. Only do this on mature pimples.

I guess it depends on the person. I sometimes get pimples and I bust it. I don't get scarring though. Never once did.
