Oh & I'm not saying you have to use primer or anything, just giving examples of products that can have mattifying effects. :)

To control your oil you need to try and balance your skin one by using gentle non stripping cleansers and use a toner lastly make sure your moisturizing if your skin feels dry on the surface it prompts your skin to produce more oil,you can also try using jojoba oil at night as a moisturizer it mimics your skins on natural lipids and can help trick your skin into not producing to much oil

Oily skin doesn't automatically mean you will for sure get acne - I agree with traci don't try to strip the oil with harsh products because that will most likely just make it worse.

Use a gentle cleanser twice a day and use a gentle toner that does not have alcohol in it

Also moisturize because when you take away the oils in your skin and don't replace is with moisture your body produces more oil to make up for the oil that isn't there (if that makes sense)

A really good moisturizer is the Nivea mattifying day cream since it's mattifying it doesn't feel greasy on the skin and it absorbs super fast so you don't even feel like your wearing anything

Also if your afraid of acne I suggest not wearing foundation or powder or anything like that because that can clog your pores and if your brushes are not cleaned after every use it can grow bacteria which is also not very good for your skin
