If you're not comfortable in them, then you're never going to get any use out of them. Kind of silly to keep them around for nothing, right? Although I'm sure you look fantastic in them, but it's not my opinion that matters. Why did you buy them in the first place?

If you want to change your style up a little bit then I can see why you'd feel uncomfortable trying new things but I'm sure you look fine and you'll come to like it. If it's really bothering you then take it back, otherwise I think give it a few days, wear it out and see if you change your mind about it. Do you have a picture? :)

Lala, I know exactly what you mean. I wear very basic clothing and feel strange when I wear something bright or dress up. Feels like I'm trying to be something I'm not. But they are just clothes. Maybe if you wear them around the house, then out to eat, and gradually wear things out for longer periods of time you will feel better about it.

Or maybe start off by wearing the skirt with a shirt you already have. then try the crop after a time or two. but I'm sure it looks great! what colors are they?

Just ease into your new clothes, like Duffs suggested :) I'm sure you look great in them. I know it's hard sometimes, but you just have to be confident and know you're rocking those clothes

I have literally always been a jeans girl, trying on a skirt would be weird but (I did ) you'll get used to it if you at least like the way they look lol. I fell in love with American Apparel skirts so I splurged on one and I LOVE it! makes me feel so girly haha

Well if you feel immodest, try a normal black tee and a white cardigan :) Maxi skirts are the opposite of immodest since they are so long. I know how you feel. I'm so picky about the clothes because I don't want to feel naked. Everyday, I wear two tank tops and when I wear skirts, I wear athletic shorts under. Why don't you try that? So I say keep the skirt and try shorts under it.

It is a really cute outfit! great sense of style when you picked it out! would leggings in a print like that be more comfortable?
or maybe start your style change by skipping the cardigan. I'm not trying to be rude, but it sounds like the cardigans like a security blanket, kinda like you need it to be comfortable.
or do opposite n try wearing cardigan over the new outfit
