It's the pictures people post on it. But like Alexis said, everyone has a different style on that site, maybe look at some pictures of things you like then buy them or get similar things.

@Alexis @Kat most of the pictures of outfits on Tumblr are very hipster, casual and old-school or romantic, that's why people sometimes use "Tumblr" to describe an outfit :)
