Spicing Up A School Uniform.

My school year starts on Monday and I was hoping that we are not going to wear uniforms. but sadly we still have to wear uniforms. I'm a little bit short and it's my senior year in high school and I don't want to be confused as a junior :( that happens all the time.
I want to spice up my school uniform but I don't know what to do.
we have to wear grey pleated skirts with white shirt. I like to wear sweaters on top of it but it's still hot in here.
any other opinions besides wearing sweaters?
I can also wear t-shirts but I can't find any cute ones goes with the ugly skirt.

Can you wear cute necklaces/earrings/bracelets? Also, maybe you could do your hair really nice and wear some cute shoes! And if you can wear a nice scarf...
