Yes I've gone silicone and sulfate free a month ago. so far my hair is much less dry, my scalp is healthier and my hair is much curlier. Definite noticeable difference. Is your hair curly?

Initially my hair felt dry coz I guess the silicones were the one that gave it a smoother texture. But over time now I've noticed less hair fall, healthier scalp and now the hair texture feels fine too. :)

My hair loves silicone free products. That stuff creates crazy build-up on my hair that requires multiple washes to completely remove.

Mary T make sure you are clarifying your hair first to remove any buildup of building silicones. Many people use vo5 or suave naturals for co washing and L.A. looks sports gel. all cg friendly.

Shelley, what do you use??
May 18, 2014
Shelley W.
@Nina...I'm a product junkie so I do quite a bit of rotating. I use a cleanser that my husband formulated that is free of dyes, silicones and fragrance, As I Am Coconut Cowash, and to clarify my hair twice a month to remove styler build-up I use GroHealthy Nothing But Clarifying Shampoo. It also doesn't contain sulfates.
